July 2023 Project Update

We’re making some great progress! The precast concrete walls were recently installed as well as the front entrance canopy. Site prep is well underway for the remainder of the site which includes the stormwater retention areas, playgrounds and parking lot. Over the next couple of weeks, the electricians will be busy roughing in all of the electrical switches, wiring, etc throughout the building.

The Sunflower team has been working closely with the solar contractors on the resilience setup and working with the plumbing/HVAC contractor on the heating and cooling unit and tying it into the battery/generator system. Final designs should be solidified by August and orders for equipment will be placed shortly after. The solar contractors are also working closely with the contractors to determine the final layout of the equipment room.
